Tutu Love!

This was shared with me today by a customer! I wanted to share it with ya'll. It brings tears to my eyes to hear how much you and your babies love tutus!

So, I never ever wanted a little girl! I new baseball and monster trucks and all that boy stuff. Well little did I know that having a daughter would be this amazing. WHO KNEW??? Who knew she could melt my heart the way she does? Who new TUTUS would consume her wardrobe and they would make her giggle uncontrollably and s...queal with pure excitement. Who knew she would ever own anything, pink let alone a TUTU. If you asked me while I was pregnant with her you, would have been told she will wear black, gray, blue, maybe yellow but PLEASE don't buy her anything PINK. I will NOT put her in it! LOL Well did she prove me wrong. Not only is the majority of her wardrobe pink but I own pink things too. UGH this little girl. Who knew she would change me the way she has. Erin on the other had, will still say I have no COLOR in my life. Last night Ella received a package in the mail...... Yes you guessed it another TUTU! Before she opened the package I said with excitement "what do you think it is???????" She was all "it's from the TUTU lady i know it!" (she knew just from the box and label it was from the TUTU lady.) So with excitement she tore into that box. I couldn't help get teary I know I know it's a TUTU, but the excitement on my baby's face was priceless. When she finally got it out the box she said "look Mama it's a TUTU i told you so................Thanks TUTU lady" (Ella's words)! Needless to say it was a great night Ella ran around in her new TUTU and we laughed and played and and jumped and spun and giggled most of the night. So little did I know GIRLS could do this to their Mama, and little did I know TUTUS could do this to little girls. So, if you have a little girl in your life do yourself a favor and buy her a TUTU. It will light up her day and yours too. So i just wanted to share my story with everyone. It's a great story for the start of your long weekend. It's been a very long time shince we've posted anything on here. I will be surprised if anybody even follows up on here. :)

I am going to get back into the blogging routine, I promise.

I am super thrilled! I saw bunches of my Tutus on the Tori and Dean Home Sweet Hollywood Show last night! Whoo Hoo!! How exciting is that? :)

Also...I am currently working on a brand new idea for a Skirt! I really think ya'll are going to love it! It's Funky, Retro, and super Chic! As soon as I get them photo'd, I will be posting pictures. Don't want to post pics too soon....don't want my idea "borrowed". Hehe... :)

What have we been up to?

We've been doing some re-modeling of our website. We're changing out all the tutu images on the mannequin, and replacing them with live models. It's a work in progress, so please excuse our dust. Here are a few from a recent session I did with my Daughters, and their Friends!

Tween Photo Shoot

We were contacted by an absolutely wonderful photographer, and inspiration! Felicia at Felicia Renee Photography came to us and asked if we would be interested in donating tutus to her organization. She has started an organization where she, and other photographers, go and shoot for families that have children with special needs. They do this all Pro Bono! (For free) Felicia was born premature and addicted to drugs due to her Birth Mother's choices. Felicia has come out as a survivor, and wants to help others that are Special Needs.

Watermark

Well, the time has come that I've been dreading for so long. I am going to have to start watermarking my images with my company name. I've found far too many sites that are literally stealing my images, and passing them off as their own. Very sad, I know. I don't like Watermarks on pictures, because I feel it takes away from the tutus. However, I have no choice. I'm tired of contacting my lawyer every time I see a site that has stolen my images.
I have created a watermark that is very faint to see, so hopefully it won't distract the eye too much from my tutus.

What's New At Miss Priss Tutus?

We have lots of exciting news to share with you!

We have a new Collection out, it's our Polka Dot Collection. The satin ribbon around the waist is in polka dots instead of a solid color. Super adorable!

We have also sent tutus to Brooke Burke, Jennie Garth, and Jessica Alba! These were sent in hopes to raise awareness about how damaging the CPSIA law will be to many businesses. We have a couple more celebrities that are getting our tutus! We list all our Press info on the Press Page of our website.

I also just sent off 7 tutus for an "editorial loan" to VOGUE MAGAZINE!! They contacted me yesterday, and the needed tutus for a photo shoot Vogue Paris is doing in Paris next week. The shoot is for the May issue! My tutus will be in the hands of very well known stylists. I am so grateful and honored for this amazing opportunity!

Here are is a tutu I made recently for a customer. It's a custom order, which I LOVE doing!

This one is for a baby girl who isn't born yet! Her Daddy is serving our country over seas, and will be home for the birth of his baby girl next month. The Mom wanted a tutu made using the colors of the Daddy's uniform (black / Gray), with a bit of pink as well. This is what I came up with!

We have now discontinued the line we had of Tutu Dresses. Thank you to everybody who bought one! Our new dresses are currently being sent to our Photographer to be photographed. The new dresses are beautiful, and I'm excited to introduce them.

This year, Miss Priss Tutus and Uniquely U Boutique are giving back. I have contacted the Marines in charge of the Atlanta Toys For Tots and discussed with them about donating money. All sales between November 17 - December 15, 10% of each sale will be donated to Atlanta Toys For Tots. This is such a worthy cause, and I'm thankful that I can donate something. Children will get toys at Christmas, who otherwise, wouldn't get any.
I would like to thank all my customers for making this achievable for me. Without you, we wouldn't be able to do this.

A customer wanted a tutu to match her bedding for her little princess. I used the colors: Pink / Olive / Maroon for the tutu. We added a pink satin wrapped ribbon on the waist, and here is the end result.

Instead of using rhinestones on our tutus, we are now using Swavorski Crystals! I am so very excited about the new "upgrade"!! The crystals are so beautiful, and have lots more "bling" than the rhinestones did.
